Scope and Contents

The Arthur E. Ojeda papers are housed in one folder within one box. In that one series is a photocopy of an article from The Standard Oiler, an August 1984 catalog of programs from the Stereo Division of the Photographic Society of America, the Photographic Society of America’s Yerba Buena Chapter Bulletin from May 1985, and a photocopy of an obituary from The Independent Journal dated March 18, 1985.

Biographical Note

Arthur E. Ojeda was born in Santa Rosalia, Mexico in 1901 and lived in southern Arizona as a child. He graduated from the University of Arizona. Beginning in 1924 Ojeda spent 42 years working for Standard Oil, during which time he traveled extensively in the Western Hemisphere. He made a hobby of photography throughout his life, with special interest in stereo slides; his work was featured in various exhibitions and publications, and he was a member of the Photographic Society of America. Ojeda died in Greenbrae, California in 1985, at age 84.

This collection contains biographical materials documenting the career and life of Arthur E. Ojeda (1901-1985), businessman and stereophotographer.

The materials found in this collection were withdrawn from “Miscellaneous Small collections” (AG 8, Subgroup 21) by Kristi Bradford in March, 1990.
