Scope and Contents
Series 1, Activity files, includes materials related to the annual conferences as well as the organization as a whole. These materials include conference schedules, participant lists, schedules of activities, announcement materials, registration materials, and accommodation information for each conference. Also included in this series is correspondence and material on the history of the conference.
Series 2, Audiovisual material, contains CDs, DVs, and DVDs.
Series 3, Artifacts and memorabilia, contains items given to conference attendees, and includes a ceramic dish given to Oracle 1997 participants and a pocket calendar given to participants in 2012.

Historical Note
The Oracle Conferences is an annual conference attended by museum professionals and curators in the field of photography. It began in 1983 in Oracle, Arizona and has since been held in many different cities and countries but retains the name of the city it began in.

Abstract
This collection contains the records and documentation of the Oracle Conferences, 1983 - 2013. The conferences are held for museum professionals in the field of photography. Information includes announcement letters, activity schedules, and lists of attendees. Also included are several photocopies of letters from journals pertaining to the Oracle Conferences. The collection is active.
Arrangement
The Collection is arranged into the following series:
- Series 1: Activity files, 1983-2013, 3 boxes
- Series 2: Audiovisual material, n.d., 2007-2008, 1 box
- Series 3: Artifacts and memorabilia, 1997-2012, 1 box
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Collection assembled by the Archivist beginning in 1988. Materials in Series 1 include gifts of Stuart Alexander; gifts of Alison Nordstrom, 2006; and gifts of Anne Tucker, 2007. Series 2 was a gift of Leslie Laufer, 2013.
Processing Information
The materials found in box 1 folders 1-3 were withdrawn from MISCELLANEOUS SMALL COLLECTIONS (AG8, Subgroup 38) in May, 1990 by Kristi Bradford. Finding aid was updated by Tai Huesgen in 2019 and 2020.
