Historical Note
Palm Press, Inc. was established in 1980 by Gus Kayafas to publish teaching slides from original photographs. The company later printed for photographers Kayafas admired and eventually printed for other photographers as a business.
Gus Kayafas received his MFA in Photography in 1973 from Rhode Island School of Design where he studied with Harry Callahan and Aaron Siskind. Following graduation he started the photography program at Massachusetts College of Art. He currently runs Gallery Kayafas in Boston.
