Scope and Contents
The Kenneth J. Botto Archive is contains two loose leaf binders with 1,137 slides of Botto’s work dated 1975-2008. The slides are arranged alphabetically by series and a detailed list is filed with each series. The archive also includes two DVDs about Botto and his work, “The Little Book of Renaissance Painters” by Ken Botto, Santa Cruz: Blue Press, 2006, and exhibition announcements dated 1988-2010. Furthermore, there are numerous notebooks and sketchbooks containing collages and photographs.

Kenneth J. Botto was born in 1937 in California and received his BFA from California College of Arts and Crafts, as well as his master’s degree from the Claremont Graduate University in Southern California. In his artworks he used toys and miniature props to fabricate scenes. Botto died in 2008.
